Amrit obtained her GPLLM from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law, and her LLB from the University of Birmingham. While at law school, Amrit competed in moot competitions, winning the Best Advocate Award in her very first moot in 2022. She also worked as a research assistant for the Environmental Law Pro Bono Project at the University of Birmingham.

During this time, she collaborated with global institutions, including the Columbia Center on Sustainable Investment, to review international legal and regulatory frameworks on renewable energy. Her research explored strategies to create a circular economy for solar panels.

While completing her Master’s, Amrit gained hands-on, client-facing experience at a boutique employment and labour law firm in Toronto, which deepened her interest in the field.

Before pursuing law, she earned a BA Honours in Law and Society from York University. Amrit’s diverse experiences have cultivated her passion for advocacy.

Outside of law, she enjoys walking her dog Maple, ice skating, and travelling.
